Originally from Copenhagen, Marie has been based in Paris since 2008. She has been working as a professional dancer on stages & in theatres around the world for the past fifteen years. She has been teaching classes and workshops to adults and children since 2000. Marie Kaae is well known in the global underground scene from her memorable representations in battles and as an activist and community builder in Paris house dance scene as one of the founders and organizers of “TAP WATER JAM” together with her partners Theo ‘Rafiki’ & dance legend Ejoe Wilson.
Marie Kaae was recently invited by the French Consulate to Palestine where she taught young local women a workshop themed “the freedom of feminine expression in house” followed by a performance at the Palestinian National Theatre choreographed by PIERRE RIGAL . She has been touring with Compagnie Derniere Minute during the last three years in France and around the world.
